Community TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY Seminars
FREE Travel Photography Seminars have been held during September for the Moreton Bay Regional Council at Burpengary, Arana Hills and Woodford with Further Travel Seminars held during October and November at North Lakes and Redcliffe Libraries.
Brisbane City Council held a Travel Seminar at Everton Park Library in October.

Woodford Seminar Group with Libraiian Rowena.
All Seminars were well attended and rewceived. There were some suggestioins for improvement which were welcomed and were accommodated before the next Seminar.
If you missed the Seminars and would like the opportuniny to attend one in 2015 Please register your interest with myself and/or your local library.
You are always welcome at one of our Monthly Seminars at Everton Park or Arana Hills libraries.
Remember, your local LIBRARY catalogue, shelves or internet catalogue, will allow you to access many reference topics on digital photography.
My Webpage or the Internet will open a vast collection of photography reference material for you.
You really have to take the first step and venture out on a few trips around, your yard, neighbourhood or city with an INTENT to use your camera and subsequently review your images and thus learn the 'Art and Science' of Photography by your own experience.
We are all Travel Photographers at heart and we all start out with the same basic understanding of cameras and photography when we hold our first camera for the first time. What you do with it, is up to you - with maybe a little help from others along the way. You only have to ask.
Enjoy your photography
Images from Contributors and/or recent Community Group Photo Workshops.
More photography images have been emailed to me, thank you, since my previoust Newsletter and again show many photographers are enjoying their travels and getting out and about, in the country at least - where are you city dwellers?. Here are a few of those on my files

The subject is so suited to the sepia 'old print image' treatment I have taken the libity of 'fiddling' on what is otherwise an all ready well exposed and conmposed image.

Beautiful runrise over the Redcliffe Pier

and yet another image that has been taken with a moody early-morning atmosphere at another time and location (note the very different cloud formations as well)

This panorama view at the bend in the creek is a unique composition and the effect is lost at thei small size. Get the larger image here

Marvellous contrast of the banks against the shadows with a vignetting edge effect done within camera. A very effective and stunning image.

Wonderful study of one of our coastal gums. Cood exposure and colours for the morning light of a rainy day.

This tunnel 'silhouette' image set up in a pedestrian walkway (don't think I would like be wheeling about down here after dark!). Correct exposure gives great atmosphere.
And regrettably we have run out of space. More next newsletter so keep them coming please.
It is rewarding to hear from the participants of the improvement in quality of their images and their greater understanding of the photography techniques they are now able to use.
Many of the images above are by photographers who a couple of months ags were struggling to use their cameras.
Everyone can be involved in our or there own community workshops and image sharing – irrespective of your global location.
Please see details on my Workshop webpage, or contact me with your questions.
Enjoy your photography, Norm.
